Nothing beats the feeling of witnessing a dog in need, find his forever family! Knowing you helped them on their way to a better life, be part of that experience by joining the our volunteer team!
FYH events are a fun way to get to know the other volunteers and dogs in our FYH family! After you join FYH you can RSVP to events you can attend. This is perfect for FYH Volunteers who want to help but need to be able to pick and choose their times. Our volunteers handle dogs at the events, sharing their attributes with potential adopters, taking them for walks and tending to their needs while at the event. You would also help in the set up of our kennels for the events you can attend. What better way to get a doggie fix? All it takes is a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon (or both).

Ask any of our volunteers, they love what they do and what better way to spend you time, hanging out with awesome dogs!
Throughout the year we will hold orientation sessions and every effort will be made to assist the new volunteer in feeling comfortable with the duties that need to be done. When you volunteer you give a bit of yourself…your time.

Giving back to your community gives you a feeling of self-fulfillment and the knowledge that you ARE making a difference to a homeless animal. As a volunteer you also acquire personal benefits and enhance your personal growth.
