ADOPTION INFO

Regular Adoption

Our adoptable dogs can be seen and adopted at our weekly adoption events. Typically these adoption events take place every Saturday from noon to 3:00pm at the Petsmart on Val Vista Dr and Guadalupe Rd in Gilbert. For more information about which dogs will be coming on Saturdays or our processes, please contact us at followyourheartfoundation@gmail.com.

Adopt Me Now (AMN)

Adopt Me Now program is designed to help eager adopters to be able to secure their adoption (on selected pups/dogs) before their actual adoptable day for an additional fee (which benefits our medical dogs).

At an adoption event, these pups/dogs will have a kennel card with the Adopt Me Now (AMN) option price on it. Not all dogs will have this option.

Pop Up Program

Pop Up Pups are highly popular dogs that run the risk of multiple families wanting to adopt on adoption day, which would normally result in an emotional public raffle  where the names are drawn from a basket. The Pop Up Program takes place online and in the comfort of your own home. Many families may still be attempting to adopt the same pup as you, but in the event you do not "win" the adoption, it may be easier on the family.

The POP UP PUP program provides additional money to treat our medical dogs who would otherwise be euthanized at county shelters. All Pop Up Pups adoption fees include:

  • Up to 5 rounds of DHPP puppy shots (or current shots for non pups)*

  • Spay/Neuter

  • Microchip for life

  • 14 day health guarantee

  • 14 day money back return option (minus $100 paper/processing fee)

  • One free grooming at the FANTASTIC and ever generous WAGGING TAILS PET RESORT!

If, in the unlikely event we feel you do not meet the criteria for the selected pup, we have the right to deny the adoption. It doesn't mean you can't adopt a pup from us, it just means we feel one may not be a good fit.

*The adoption fee is the full fee at time of clicking "pick this pup" option. If cancelled or refused, you will get your money back minus a $50 fee to process your application. There will be a home check included in the adoption within a week of placement.

Thank you for your interest in our Pop Up Pup program. We look forward to finding your next best friend.

*these vaccines are only covered under the adoption fee if the dog is brought back to our organization to complete the vaccine series. Going elsewhere will be at the adopter's expense.

Accidents happen, puppies are a lot of work. FYH is working to help prevent unplanned litters, ensure that every dog has a forever home and reduce the number of dogs entering the shelter system. We offer the Last Litter program to benefit the wellbeing of the mom and the puppies and help take some stress away from you.

LAST LITTER PROGRAM BENEFITS

FREE spay for your mom dog

FREE vaccines for your mom dog

Project Embrace & Place

For some time now, Follow Your Heart Animal Rescue has been running a Courtesy Post program as a way to help safely rehome pets in the community when our fosters are full or otherwise unable to help. This program has evolved into Project Embrace & Place, which is designed to do everything Courtesy Post did and more. Through fundraising and donations, this project will safely rehome pets in the community, and can help provide vet care to deserving pet owners for their fur babies. All animals in this program will be brought up to date on the necessary vet care they need to be adopted responsibly, and this program will also help out in specific circumstances when good pet owners can't provide the vet care their pets need.
